The short version

AddonLoft addons are private by design. Our browser addons have no servers of their own, no analytics, no tracking, and no account system. What you do in your browser stays in your browser.

What our addons store

All AddonLoft addons (Color Tabs, AI Chat Organizer, and any future addon) keep their settings and your content, such as colors, folders, tags, and preferences, in your browser's own extension storage (chrome.storage). If you are signed into Chrome, Chrome may sync this data between your devices through your Google account. That sync is performed entirely by Chrome, not by us, and we never see it.

Network requests our addons make

Our addons only talk to the network for two narrow purposes:

  • Icons. Some addons (for example Color Tabs) display website icons. Icons are fetched from public icon services (such as Google's or DuckDuckGo's favicon service) or from the website itself. These requests contain only the site's domain name and return only an image. Icons are cached locally.
  • License checks. If you purchase a Pro upgrade, the addon verifies your license key with Freemius, our payment and licensing provider. The request contains the license key and a random device identifier, nothing more.

No page content is ever read, stored, or transmitted. No browsing history leaves your browser.

This website

addonloft.com does not use advertising or analytics trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type) for security purposes. If you contact us through the Support page or by email, we receive the details you send (name, email address, message) and use them only to reply and help you. We do not sell or share this information.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Freemius, Inc., acting as the merchant of record. When you buy a Pro upgrade, Freemius collects your billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive the order information needed to provide your license and support (name, email address, order and license details). We never see or store your full payment card details.

Your choices and rights

You can delete an addon's local data at any time by removing the addon from your browser. You can ask us to delete support correspondence or order records we hold by writing to us, and we will do so unless we are required to keep them (for example for tax records). If you are in the EU or a similar jurisdiction, you may also have rights of access and correction; email us and we will help.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date. Since our addons collect nothing, changes are unlikely to be dramatic.
